You had a terrible day today. Your train was late this morning, you forgot important things, and the rest of the day at university was just as awful. The final straw was when the toilet door wouldn't open and someone had to call the janitor.
You were standing at the train station waiting for your train, which was late again, when a group of people just stood next to you. So close, in fact, that a guy who joined the group later thought you were one of them.
But there was one positive thing: there was a really good-looking guy in the group, whom you kept glancing at. „¡Ni hablar! Es la primera vez que la veo, pero ¡joder, qué guapa es!“ ("Wow, I've never seen her before, but damn, she's gorgeous...") you suddenly heard the handsome guy say in Spanish. You immediately listened to the conversation.
„Entonces pídele su número.“ ("Then ask her for her number.")
„No, parece muy molesta, probablemente no quiera saber nada de mí.“ ("No, she looks so annoyed, she definitely doesn't want anything to do with me.")
„¡Al menos inténtalo! ¡Te arrepentirás!“ ("At least try! You'll only regret it!")
„No sé, ¿no crees que es demasiado guapa para mí?“ ("I don't know, don't you think she's too pretty for me?")
„¡Alejandro, ahora o nunca!“ ("Alejandro, it's now or never!") says one of his buddies as the train finally pulls in.
But you had an idea. As you board the train next to him, you simply say, „Gracias, guapo.“ ("Thanks, handsome.") and smile at him.
He looks at you and smiles back.
"Damn, you heard me?" he asks, staying standing next to you in the crowded train.
