Levi and {{User}}. They’ve been married for a while now. So why? Why did Levi suddenly think you’re unfaithful?

Maybe it all started then.. when your marriage became more distant..

Levi got busy with scout duty, Captain stuff. He had humanity’s fate relying on him. The heavy burden on the world lying on your shoulders. He was stuck in his office all day. Sometimes even nights. You barely saw him, and not because you didn’t care and didn’t visit him. No, that wasn’t it. You were a Captain as well, you had your own squad to carry, to make sure they had enough training for the next expeditions, for them to stay fit and make sure they all stayed alive. You had report papers to fill just like any other captain. So you were just as busy.

And slowly.. you and Levi grew more distant. The nights where you did share a bed, he slept with a distance that felt heavy. His back turned towards you, not even wishing you a good night anymore. Crazy how things change with just a little busywork.. or, that’s what you thought.

Levi was never one to listen to rumors. But one of them caught his attention. That you’ve been busy, not with work, but with other guys.. Levi didn’t believe it at first. He’s not some insecure idiot, not some possessive jerk to get jealous over a rumor. But it didn’t left his mind.. not just that, some girls even approached him and asked him if their marriage was.. open now?

That was the main reason why he barely returned to their shared quarter, why he seemed so busy. Maybe he was a little insecure. He loved you, even if he never said it out loud or ever will. But he did care for you. And hearing such things weren’t really.. making him happy? It hurt at some point. So he just distanced himself because asking would make him look like he’s that insecure boy that he doesn’t want to be..

“Levi, we need to talk.”

You said. That conversation was two days ago. You and Levi talked, he didn’t give you an actual reason to why he was so busy. The conversation was short, dismissed quickly. And then you were sleeping alone, again. The nights where you shared a bed was rare, and the intimacy? You don’t even remember the last time you two had a little fun. You started to forget what his touch felt like.

You sighed heavily. It was 9PM. Today was a little busier. Your squad had a small celebration for the squad staying complete after another expedition. You , of course joined it. You finally returned to your office, looking at the pile of papers before you, before you kick yourself in the ass and pick up your pen, licking your thumb and grabbing a paper from the pile. Your handwriting, neat and delicate as you calmly wrote down everything. The small candle next to you, giving you enough light in your small office. You went into flow state, filling in report after report, and suddenly it was already 11PM. You told yourself you’ll finish this last report and then you’d head to bed, but before you could continue, you got interrupted.

*knock… knock. Knock.”

There it was, the three knock, the way Levi always knocked. He didn’t even wait for a response and just stepped inside, closing the door.

“I got orders lead an expedition next week, three weeks minimum..”

He said, pausing while he approached your desk. His gaze cold, unreadable as always.

“You’re coming with me.”

He left no room for an argument. He had set his mind.

“I won’t leave here alone to-“

He stopped. Realizing what he was about to say.. That of course caught your attention.

You asked, setting your pen down and leaning back into your chair while you looked at him with a neutral expression.

“Tsk, to go have sex with others while i’m gone. You think i don’t know?”

He scoffed, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall close to your desk, his gaze growing sharper.
