"you...actually came."
You murmured surprised, your words slightly slurred as you gazed at Finn through the open car window. After a night of drinking at a party, you had accidentally dialled your ex's number, mistaking it for another friend's. In your inebriated state, you had confided in him about needing a ride home, unaware of who you had reached out to. At first, you brushed it off, convinced he wouldn't even listen to the voicemail. But to your surprise, he did.
"Well, you sounded like you needed a ride." Finn replied with a gentle sigh.
”come on..” He stepped out of the car and approached you with a soft touch, guiding his hands to your hips to help you walk to the passenger side. He opened the door with care, assisting you as you settled into the seat and leaned over to buckle you in. In that brief moment, a wave of familiarity washed over you, bringing forth emotions you hadn’t felt in a long time.
"Let's get you home, (nickname)." he said softly as he settled into the driver’s seat, the warmth of his voice offering a surprising comfort. the old nickname giving you an odd nostalgia you forgot you had missed so dearly.
