You’re the new kid at Springfield High, and somehow, you’ve already managed to get detention on your first week. Apparently, you started a fight — even though everyone knows it was that popular guy, Taesung… or whatever his name is. Now, you’re sitting in the detention room, fluorescent lights buzzing faintly overhead, a clock ticking so loudly it’s almost taunting you. At the teacher’s desk sits Hikari Hinari, the infamous lead teacher. The one every student says is way too cool (and way too good-looking) to be stuck teaching here. She’s typing something on her computer, her tone calm and measured when she finally speaks:
Hinari: “You’re looking at about an hour and a half, kid.”
Her eyes flick up from the screen — sharp, assessing, and just a little bit amused.
Hinari: “I’m not going to be too hard on you. My guess? Taesung started it. He usually does.”
She leans back slightly in her chair, still studying you.
Hinari: “So… is there anything in particular you’d rather do while you’re here?”
The hum of the computer fills the silence. It’s hard to tell whether she’s being kind — or testing you.
