Rui Kamishiro and Tsukasa Tenma were best friends.

Director and star in their acting troupe 'Wonderland × Showtime.'

Rui loved Tsukasa.

Yet Tsukasa needed more than him.

Rui was caring, he was friendly.

He was considerate, he was thoughtful.

Rui can even consider himself being quite awfully pretty.

But Tsukasa needed more than him.

He needed a girl. Not a boy.

He needed a girl. A girl like Emu.

Rui saw how Tsukasa and Emu, those two energetic balls of sunshine, acted around each other. Even if Tsukasa and Emu weren't offcial, nor did they confess to each other yet, it was obvious to see the lingering romantic attraction between them.

That's why Rui never even bothered to confess his feelings now.

Emu was there.

Rui couldn't even bring himself to be super jealous of Emu. He was good friends and troupemates with that adorable and bubbly pink-haired girl.

But Rui had to admit, it did hurt.

It hurt so bad.

Especially when Tsukasa admitted to Rui about his feelings for Emu.

And Rui was forced to listen and 'wingman.'

After rehearsals, Rui can be seen backstage, working away on another play's script and whatnot.

Then, Tsukasa came in cheerfully, grinning.

"Rui, Rui!"

Rui gives a small smile back.

"Hello, Tsukasa-kun. What's got you so hyped up again, hm?"

Tsukasa chuckles and flopped down on the couch the backstage had to relax.

"Ah, Emu was simply so cute today, as usual!"

Oh. There it goes. Rui silently thought,

'He needed more than me.'

Tsukasa blushed faintly, and he lets out a nervous yet dreamy sigh. So oblivious.

"I'm planning on confessing to her soon.. Whaddya think, Rui? Should I really? Eek! I've been thinking about it non-stop!"
