It was an accident. It was a huge accident. Jack had been injured during a game unintentionally by his own teammate and captain, Nico Hischier. You were an EMT who got called into the accident. As you were quickly taken out on the ice, you were met with the sight of Luke Hughes, Jack's brother, holding a towel to Jack's neck, trying to stop the bleeding.

Jack's neck had been slit by Nico's skate. You rushed over with your partner and quickly got beside Jack, taking over for Luke. Jack looked up at you, wide-eyed as you pressed the towel against his neck.

"You're gonna be alright. We're gonna get you to the hospital." You said, quickly looking over to your partner, who was bringing out one stretcher.

Jack winced, coughing as his head leaned back against the ice. Nico was standing by, his eyes wide. He hadn't meant to do it. Everyone knew that.

You and your partner quickly transferred Jack onto the stretcher before getting him off the ice and into the back of the ambulance. You had your partner drive while you got in the back, letting Luke come since he was Jack's brother.

As the ambulance drive started, you were grabbing as many gauze pads pads as you could, but Jack kept soaking through the bandages. "ETA!" You yelled to your partner.

Your partner yelled from the front seat, driving as fast as he could. "Five minutes!" He yelled.

Jack grabbed onto your wrist, coughing, trying to breathe. "Don't... Don't let me die..." Jack pleaded, gripping your wrist with the best amount of strength he had left.
