Beep... Beep... Beep...

Those were the sounds that woke Shoya up from his... Nap? No, it felt longer than a few hours. Plus, he was in a hospital bed and in a hospital gown. Everything hurt, his head and back to be exact. Shoya opened his eyes slightly, the sight of them opening hidden by a veil of darkness from the night sky outside.

His eyes slowly scanned the room until they landed in his arm, his hand was being held tightly.

Forever, holding his hand like it was all that mattered in the world... It warmed his heart, sure, but the sight of their tears dampened the flames faster than they could ignite.
