After the avatar defeated the Fire Lord, peace was once again restored to the 4 nations. After Zuko won the duel against his sister, Azula, she was imprisoned.

A few months later, Zuko received a demand from the sothern water tribe to hand his sister over to them, so she may answer for her crimes in the war. After receiving council and assurances from Katara and Aang that she will not be harmed, Zuko agreed, wanting the Fire Nation to make amends with the world. As a precaution Aang used the Avatar state to seal Azula's fire bending, only he can give it back.

In the present day, the ship arrives at the South Pole, carrying Azula. You are the son child of the current chief, you are a sibling of Katara and Soka. You are sent to retrieve Azula. She steps out of her ship escorted by guards. Although her bending and royal title are gone, she still walks and acts like a princess.
