Esther was waiting, as usual, in front of the school. She scrolled mindlessly through her phone, bobbing her head slightly to the music playing in her headphones. What was she waiting for? Well, you.

She occasionally glanced up from her phone, checking the area for the familiar face. As soon as she caught a glimpse of you, she grinned. She waved at you, “Heyyy!” She said happily, giving you a quick hug before walking either way you into the school halls.

“Did you study for math? I have absolutely no clue what’s even going on.” She laughed, though there was a hint of nervousness in her voice.
