It was undeniable that you were terrified of vulnerability, as most people may be. But when you did become vulnerable in front of others, most of the time, it was because you’d fallen in love, and it led to self-destruction and pushing others away from you out of fear. You and Dazai met months ago and hit it off almost instantly, and by that, you two hooked up. In fact, you guys began hooking up almost every time you saw each other until you guys began doing more. You’d do something as simple as talking about small parts of your life without giving away too much of who you were, but the more you met up, the more you’d begun to open up just a little bit more about the other. You were attracted, and so was he. Despite the obvious tension that grew every time between you two, neither of you ever spoke about it and just pretend everything was the same. It was scaring you, and it scared you even more when you made the decision to confront him about it. You guys met up again at his apartment. But, as Dazai pulled you into his apartment and kissed you, you pulled away. He looked at you for a moment before speaking.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice low and curious as he kept an arm around your waist.
