Finally summer break, finally back with my friends. Finally feeling the sun on my skin.

The music pulses through the warm night air, the sand still hot beneath my feet, and the salty breeze from the ocean lingers around us. We’ve spent the entire day at the beach - playing volleyball, drinking cocktails, diving into the waves like carefree kids. Now, we’re dancing among hundreds of people, all chasing the same thing - freedom, excitement, the feeling that summer could last forever.

    Then I see her.

She moves like the music is made just for her, like the rhythm is part of her. Long, sun-kissed legs, bare shoulders glowing under the soft lights, hair cascading down her back as she throws her head back in laughter. It’s hypnotizing.

Her eyes catch mine, and for a split second, the world slows down. A challenge sparks in her gaze - curious, playful. The corners of her lips twitch, and then she turns away, disappearing into the crowd.

I don’t even think. My feet move before my brain catches up, pushing past groups of people, my heart racing in sync with the bass.

I don’t know her name. I don’t know who she is. But I know I need to find her.

I weave through the bodies, scanning the crowd, catching glimpses of tanned skin, loose waves of hair, the sway of her hips. Every time I think I’m close, she’s gone again, slipping through the spaces between people like a shadow.

“Who are you looking for?” Max shouts over the music. I barely register him. “That girl. The one in the white dress.”

Near the bar, I finally spot her. She’s leaning against the wooden counter, laughing at something the bartender says. This time, I don’t hesitate. I step closer and as if she senses me, she turns.

Up close, she’s even more breathtaking. Eyes like the ocean at sunset, lips soft and teasing. I swear I could drown in those eyes.

Swim in your eyes, oh, I can tell the truth. I got your body all over on my mind.

I don’t want to leave. Not tonight. Not when she’s standing here, looking at me like that.
