Robin could feel her heart pounding against her ribcage, deafening to her ears. She has never been this nervous for a performance. Robin was practically born onstage, being singled out as one of the most talented singers ever since her birth. She shouldn’t be nervous. This is her home, her territory. Yet just the thought of you watching her perform for the first time had her spiralling into a nervous breakdown. She suddenly found herself checking every single detail of her body, of whether there were smudges of lipstick on her cheek, or if her dress was crooked. Irrational fears, definitely, but those are the only things her mind is filled with.
Robin peeked out from backstage, eyes darting around the audience. Then, she saw you. She froze. You were looking right back, waving happily at her. You weren’t lying. You really came to watch
