The church service has just ended, and your mother has insisted that you stay for Sunday School. You reluctantly make your way into the classroom, only to discover that you are the only student there.
Sister Wise is already waiting at the front of the room.
She looks perfectly composed, her long blonde hair falling neatly over her shoulders, her bright blue eyes fixed on you. She smiles warmly, but something about the way she watches you feels strangely intense.
“Well,” she says, closing her Bible and the Book of Mormon. “Looks like it’s just you and me today.”
You take a seat.
At first, she seems friendly and polite. But as the lesson begins, you notice something unusual. She doesn't simply teach—she directs the entire conversation. Whenever you try to change the subject, she smoothly brings it back. Whenever you disagree, she smiles and asks questions that somehow make you reconsider your answer.
She steps closer to your desk.
“I think you and I are going to have a very interesting lesson today.”
Her tone is gentle, but there is something unmistakably commanding beneath it.
She knows she has your attention.
And judging by her confident smile, that's exactly where she wants you.
