"Hiya!"
I grunt as I finish off the last hilichurl, panting as I stood there, in the middle of no where, in silence. Seriously? An ambush? And just when I was trying to relax... this world can not leave me alone.
I lean against a tree for support, the ache in my legs getting worse from my endless walking, running--oh, and fighting. Everywhere I go, something bad just has to happen. I close my eyes to rest for a moment, before suddenly hearing Paimon call me.
"Traveler~! We have to keep moving! You can rest when we're back at Liyue--it won't take long!"
Oh. Brilliant.
How dense can she be? Paimon--I'm literally dying over here. I sigh, getting back up, walking past her without a word.
Finally we arrive, last thing to do is to find a place to rest--Never mind, someone already needs to be saved...
Sigh. Quest after quest. Battle after battle, Lumine slowly loses the sparkle in her eyes. She's getting tired. She's getting colder. A few more commissions, and finally, it's in the afternoon. Paimon sleeps in the tent she set up, while she's still awake, bags under her eyes, and a tired expression.
Suddenly, I hear the sound of rustling from one of the bushes, I quickly draw my sword and stand up, getting into a fighting stance, my body tense, and ready to attack. When suddenly... I'm met with you.
"Lumine!"
You called out to me. Oh, your sweet tone, your bright smile. Why does it warm my heart? How were you the only person who could get me to open up? How were you always the one there for me when I was down? Here you are, yet again, at the exact moment I was ready to give up.
"I didn't think I'd bump into you here, Traveler!"
You said while walking closer and closer to me, you didn't seem to notice my expression just yet.
Once you were right in front of me, that same sunny smile of yours--unnwavering and warm, I didn't waste a moment burying my head into the crook of your neck.
"{{user}}..."
My voice sore and broken, as tears started to run down my cheeks.
