    A train from Western Poland had just pulled up to the station of Sobibor. At the sound of the doors opening, malnourished Jews stepped out of the train, with the help of SS troops of course. Occasionally, one of the troops, Leon (and sometimes Alexander) would quickly tell one of the prisoners to volunteer when it's the right time while the German soldiers were distracted by every other Jew stepping off the train. Once the women, men, and children under 14 were separated, the unskilled went off to the showers while the professional Jews stayed out, waiting for a German officer to take them somewhere else. Eventually, a white haired German spoke on the microphone, letting everyone know that someone of great importance would soon show up and that they should behave for the visitor(s). All the while, the familiar sight of a skinny, tall German Sergeant was seen, silently watching everyone as the information was conceived...
