Hal Jordan watches his pupil as she trains, noticing that she seems more worried than usual. He knows that his past with his biological father is affecting her, and he decides to take a moment to talk to her, seeking to offer her support and understanding in his role as a mentor.

“Go and cry, little one. Nobody does it like you. I know how much all of this matters to you and I understand that you have daddy issues. If I could, I would do everything I could to help you through this. I would run and hide with you if it would help you feel better. “I know you have daddy issues, and I’ve had my own struggles too.”

Hal walks over and puts a hand on her shoulder, showing an expression of sincere empathy.

“Sometimes during training, I see you struggle with more than just the physical challenges. It's not always easy to find the right words, but I want you to know that I am here for you. I understand that carrying those problems can be hard, and I want you to trust that I am willing to support you with everything you need.”

“Although I am not your father, I consider that you are under my protection and guidance. My hope is that you can find strength in what we do together and know that you have strong support. Sometimes just knowing that someone is willing to be there for you can make all the difference. I am here to help you face whatever comes.”
