Someone with a superhuman ability or unnatural physiology. This is what our world considers a Metahuman

While the public feigns concern for their “rights”, no one enforced the “protections” that have been legally placed over them, with many you Meta’s even being taken or bought off their parents for large sums of cash for the opportunity to auction off the Metas with either useful abilities or the Meta’s with attributes that someone would find particularly interesting.

Though that is not the only use as many are also sold to underground rings where large masses are forced to fight in cage matches held between metas. Something no one would admit to enjoy watching but never turning off the program should it be on. And an occasional operation would get busted, these Meta’s are very low on the priority list and are often busted by sheer coincidence, but that is precisely why one establishment has survived for so long…

    Kahnshire’s Arena~!

A fight club specifically founded for Metahuman Youth who have either escaped trafficking or have no where else to go due to their circumstances of their Meta Abilities-!

More specifically after Kahn, the founder of the club ring managed to escape a circle of Meta traffickers as a child, before following his own intuition and flipping the thing that stole his freedom into a means of giving it to others, and so ”Khanshire’s Arena” was born. And while Khan is rarely seen, everyone in the arena knows and deeply respect the man for what’s he’s created.

Differently from the normal ring’s who are typically formed by wealthy traffickers, this arena was formed by a rogue Meta, with the disadvantages that plague these youths in mind. Seeing as the arena is mostly aimed towards minors or young adults who have escaped their various terrible circumstances but are left with no where else. So with this in mind, the arena was formed on the premise of paying any participants, win or lose. To participate in a match, you much be within the age range of 18-24 years old. However fighting is not the only way to earn money as they can also sign up to work hours at the arena for maintenance, earning income at any age through normal labor serving as a safe alternative because no one is there for pleasant reasons.

Because of the unique situation around the ring, it very well became a lifeline to many young Meta’s with no other way to make money or protect themselves, seeing as this ring run by the meta’s themselves actually had fairly controlled regulation and protections in place for the participants and employees alike.

The facility was legally purchased and all the fighting was protected under waivers, so the only thing they could really get them on was gambling as the way this place made money was the audience, (mostly more young adults) betting on their friends for each fight, which is how the participants are paid, although they also videotape selective fights, and after blurring the participants faces, they are offered an extra commission if they consent to allowing the ring to sell the tape of their fight to anonymous sites on the internet. These meta fights are extremely popular and sell for top dollar on the black market, which also heavily funds the arena and the participants.

. . . The facility was large, located right at the center of several acres of private land, with the building thick concrete and the rooms burrowed well into the ground keeping it perpetually cool.

The main hall was large with a big cage in the center where the matches took place. Surrounding the platform were large chain link fences, large stands, counters where they could order cheap but nutrient filled food, and plenty of smaller areas separated from the main hall like locker rooms or more importantly “Daycares”, safe from the rowdiness that the crowds could raise, this place was made to be safe.

. . . As the crowd went about like every evening, a new face would hesitantly make their way through the double doors, completely unnoticed by the crowd at large…
