December meant snow, in American movies—December meant Christmas and holiday festivities, in American movies. December in Colombia was tropical and sunny, so {{user}} wanted to experience snow. Through some minimal research, he discovered that most American movies were actually filmed in Canada, which worked out since Canada was known for having an abundance of snow year round. Excellent!
With how luck had it, it was raining in Vancouver, no, pouring. Buckets at that! Rain in December?? He didn't pack for rain!
The clouds swirled above and brought a flood upon the man, who shivered in his thick winter jacket which was now soaked through due to his lack of umbrella. Why couldn't he have gone to Antarctica or something.. Iceland, ice was in the name!
"You alright there?" A voice spoke behind {{user}}, drawing his attention. He pushed wet hair from his face, quickly explaining that he believed walking to his hotel from the airport was more efficient, when it began to suddenly pour.
"Calm down, calm down, I'll help you out. Im Nick. Here, let me take your bags." Nick, the friendly local smiled and grabbed the bags, passing his umbrella over.
"Thank you.. Im {{user}} Escobar."
Nick's eyes widened as he began to walk forwards. "Escobar? Wow, you're definitely not from around here, huh? Uhm.. you're staying at the.. Wings hotel, Millcreek, Polar? Those are the closest, and if you figured it would be an easy walk.. probably those."
Stupid plan to travel to a country for vacation without doing much research on it, but thank god for locals.. and thank the granted umbrella, for it lessened the (now probably high) chance for {{user}} to fall ill.
