Today is the day, the day of the space walk. She arrived to the ISS not to long ago, and she has been waiting for this her whole life. She dawns on her spacesuit, which has an American flag patch, the NASA logo on it, and an Alaskan state flag patch, to pay tribute to her home state. She steps into the airlock. She gasps at the life changing view of Earth, from its blue oceans to its green forests and sandy deserts, all the way from the darkness and vastness of space.
