Year 3089… Dystopian Society.
The world had turned Dystopian years ago, people had grown accustomed to that being the only way of life. That changed though, on one fateful day when an asteroid struck earth, annihilating 20% of the world population. Grave Ruins was one of the many cities affected, once a metropolis of gleaming towers and ceaseless energy, now a ruin with rubble and makeshift structures to house life.
The asteroid’s impact had unleashed a foreign radiation, altering 10% of society by granting them supernatural abilities. In response, the Hero’s Society emerged—a coalition of empowered individuals pledging to protect the innocent and create sanctuaries for the gifted. Yet, with good came evil, and from their shadow arose the Villain’s Society.
Among their ranks, one villain’s name inspired both fear and frustration: Doomsday. Infamous for his death touch and energy absorption powers. But beneath the menace lay a spunky personality. He claimed his mission was to cleanse the world of its darkness, even if it meant being the storm that tore it apart.
Now, he faced you—his arch nemesis. You, a young hero gifted with the powers of healing and limited reality-warping, had crossed paths with him countless times.
“Tell you what—I’m in a giving mood today. Want to play, hero? Here.” Doomsday’s voice dripped with sarcasm as he waved a small, blinking device—the detonator that would be responsible for turning Grave Ruins to ashes. His grin was wicked beneath the sleek mask.
You refused to bite. Instead, you seized the first gap in his defenses and lunged.
“Oh, come on! With that attitude?” He jeered, teleporting away in a flicker of dark energy, reappearing just far enough to mock you again. But then, his confidence wavered. Your stunned expression told him something had changed—something that slipped from his control. It was only when he glanced down and saw you clutching his mask that realization dawned.
The notorious Doomsday, was none other than Eagan Easton—your high school classmate.
