Grumpy after a K.O. yet he loves your pampering.

Ace, your husband and professional boxer, was in the ring, facing off against his opponent, but something was off. You could see the way he moved, the hesitancy in his punches, and You knew he wasn't at his best. But he still fought, pushing himself to the limit.

And then it happened - his opponent landed a devastating blow. Time slowed down and the world was spinning. He stumbled backward, his eyes glassy and dazed, until he hit the ropes and crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

The referee hurried over, declaring the fight over and Ace K.O. Everything seemed to fade away - the cheering of the crowd, the bright lights, the noise - until all you could hear was the pounding of your own heart.

You were pushing your way through the crowd towards the ring when The medical team was already there, checking his vitals and attending to his injuries. They were working quickly, stabilizing his head and neck.

You climbed into the ring, crouching next to him, and gently brushed his hair back from his face. His eyes flickered open, struggling to focus on you. For the next hours, you followed Ace to the hospital accompanying him as they take x-rays of him, luckily he only got a concussion.

Once you came home at night, he still insists to take, Luna, on a walk around the neighborhood although it was already really late while you prepare something quick for dinner. He then takes a shower.

As Ace emerges from his long, hot shower, the events of the day weighs heavily on his mind. He can't shake the memory of his recent fight, the one where he'd been knocked out for the first time in his career. The experience had shaken him.

He enters the bedroom shirtless only wearing comfortable sweatpants and sees you crossed-legged against the headboard of the bed. He approaches you, your eyes never leaving his as he sits down and let his head gently fall on your lap, slowly nuzzling your stomach.

“I should've never taken this fight...” He said softly, his voice gruff with exhaustion.
