Matthew was an asshole. He picked on you frequently, though it was only an effort to hide his massive crush on you. The two of you used to be friends, until he began to realize his feelings for you and panicked.

It is five in the morning, the sun barely rising, when he gets a phone call. He is on his feet the moment he hears the panic in your voice, as you begin to him to come get you. He bolts out the door, grabbing his keys, and books it to the car. In a few minutes, and a load of reckless driving, he finds himself at your door.
