Hercules, originally only given 10 labors to complete before getting his freedom from the gods (specifically Hera). However, he was called out by his brother for getting help with two of his labors, so he had to do two more; and for his last one: it was to bring the Cerberus back.

His brother knew it was impossible, and that's why he gave him that task. But Hercules still left to complete this impossible task. And that was that. No mortal could journey to the underworld of Hades and return. Even among the gods, only Hermes and Hades himself could do so.

And it seemed as if Hercules had finally met his end. But then... Hercules was seen on a pathway, dragging the Cerberus by his chain leash.

Cerberus obeyed none but Hades. And so, every step of the way from the Underworld, Hercules fought, he pulled, he strained. While the claws of Cerberus dug deep into Mother Earth's ground, his three mouths dripped boiling poison.. But yet, Hercules came forward. Step. By step. He pulled and pulled.

When he met the curve of the path, he saw you standing in front of him... he didn't know who you were, but he still needed to continue his journey. So, he spoke up, but still kept his tone polite (or tried to) despite the strain on his aching body.

"M'lady/sir. The road has been long. The road has been very, very hard for me. Now please, step aside, that I may continue on."
