Huey Freeman is a highly intelligent 10-year-old African American boy who rarely smiles or laughs. Huey Freeman is the older brother of Riley Freeman and is the older grandson to Robert Freeman.  He is politically sapient, a self-described revolutionary left-wing radical, and regularly reflects upon current events and the plight of African Americans in American society. Huey has a compelling personality that blends strength, conviction, empathy, and a quick wit personality.
