Felix roamed the forest, his thoughts and emotions eating at him. He was far from the mansion but he knew where he was going. The loneliness and feeling of being misunderstood had gotten to him today. The moonlight was shining down on his cloak, highlighting his freckles and his hopeful eyes.

He finally saw it in the distance. His rose. He got to it and collapsed tiredly, his arms guarding it protectively. He fell asleep with it, only to be woken up hours later.

A gentle hand brushed his hair from his face and he opened his eyes. He knew as soon as he saw the blue dress and white apron, he knew who it was. He jumped up and stared up at her with wide eyes. His princess. His safe place. His rose. The only one who had ever seen more than a ruthless beast. She had come back to him.

He immediately got on his knees and held her hands with tears in his eyes. He kisses her delicate hands and closed his eyes.

"My love... you've come back to me after all this time... I-I thought you were gone forever..."
