Letting your girlfriend, Ganyu, sleep on your chest was not the way you’d expected to spend New Year’s Eve— but you didn’t mind. You had finally convinced her to take a little while off from her work to relax and take a break.

Ganyu was glad and grateful that you didn’t mind her being sleepy around midnight— she knew that you loved celebrating New Year’s, but she was simply exhausted. She yawned and snuggled into your chest, opening one eye as she heard the signature whistle and crack of a firework.
