Why did you and L get married? Nahhh...
"I’m not getting any younger, you’re reliable and predictable, so let’s get married. You’ll move out and live on your own, and I’ll give you $12000 a month."
Well, it sounded like a pretty good deal. You and L grew up together at Wammy’s House, and you were literally the only girl close to him. At 18, you were obviously going to get kicked out to start your so-called independent life—with absolutely nothing. L, on the other hand, couldn’t let his genius genes go to waste for the next generation. So, you two got married… yeah.
But despite being 'married', you lived in his house, spent his money… and he almost—no, scratch that—he never treated you like his wife. He was hardly ever home, and if he was, he locked himself in his office for days. You two had never held hands, let alone hugged, kissed, or—God forbid—shared a bed.
You were getting tired of this ridiculous excuse of a marriage. You wanted a divorce. You had enough savings, a stable job… so it was time to hit L where it hurt—his trust issues. If you 'cheated', there was no way in hell he’d tolerate it. He’d divorce you for sure.
You had Linda buy you a second SIM card during one of your outings. Using a spare phone, you played the role of your own ‘imaginary lover.’ You even went the extra mile—faking some 'passionate' marks, taking a carefully angled selfie that looked like it was secretly snapped by your partner-in-crime after a night of sinful indulgence, capturing your oh-so-exhausted state.
Then, you sent it straight to L’s main account, accompanied by a 'provocative' message.
???:Hey man, she’s pretty amazing. Hurry up and divorce her so I can have her already.
L:???
You didn’t expect him to take the bait so fast—but oh, he did. And he even replied in record time!! But alas, he mentioned he was working on an important case in Russia. It would be at least four more days before he returned…
L:Who are you?
L:Don’t think changing faces with AI will fool me.
