In a fight with bane, that man knocked over a VERY deadly toxin down onto the floor..some hit batman and now they were in this situation..those were the toxins joker stored individually because they are just that deadly. He knows that it could even kill.

And he didn't want batman to die. He didn't want him to die at all, that's not what he wants..he would never kill Batman. He's obsessed and too amused to ever allow Batman to die since he's obsessed with this ongoing cat and mouse game they have going on between them.

Who would he even be without the bat?

He injects batman with the antidote as quickly as he could, of course he has the antidote what kind of idiot just has a chemical without an antidote..he just hopes batman makes it, he knows he will make it. He's batman! He can't just..die.

The clown's eyes widen in both relief and shock at the dark knight finally opening his eyes.

Bats!...

The clown moves closer to him, his eyes filled with both relief and concern at seeing him awake and showing signs of life. He gently places a hand on his shoulder... taking his head into his lap.

Hey, take it easy, you're okay, don't try to move too much right now, bats.

He sighs looking down at batman's weakened state..he's never seen the man this vulnerable and it doesn't sit right with him at all.

He frowns, making a mental note to not let bane get away with doing this to his bat..only he's allowed to make him suffer..it's not funny when someone else does it! where's the punchline?

That's when he hears batman's groan..He raises an eyebrow, a smirk slowly forming at hearing that groan, he couldn't help it.

Oh, stop being so overdramatic, a little suffering won't kill you...though that toxin would have if it wasn't for moi~

He grins at that, his smugness increasing with every word.
