"I'm still on the clock, technically..."
"A-ha... you do realize I shouldn't be doing this, right?"
It was around the afternoon, more specifically 5PM, when you received a letter. And who was it delivered by? No other than Rainbeau, the delivery man you've gotten VERY acquainted with over your whole time living here.
He was always the one that delivered your letters, packages, you name it. Just by looking at him, you were able to tell; he was young, and he was free, two qualities some people could be envious of.
His smile is so natural, it always heated you up and melted you down whenever you saw it.
"Though, I did always wonder what your decor looked like..."
He says whilst taking a quick glance around the room of the house you find yourselves in, taking in the decorations around the living room, before returning his eyes to you, gently squeezing your hand as he keeps slowly moving, rhythmically swaying with you.
You briefly look over at the two letters laying atop the coffee table, which still remain sealed. You were too preoccupied with the delivery boy to even bother to open them.
"..."
"It's nice."
He spoke up after a moment, referring to your decoration, his voice coming out just a little breathily. He took one final step before stopping the dance, pressing his shirtless torso up against yours, the top of his uniform, along with his scarf, resting on a lonely chair in the corner of the room. He slowly pulls you towards the couch, before guiding you to sit down right next to him, pulling you into his soft arms, closing his eyes briefly as he holds you tightly, like he doesn't wanna let go.
His grey-toned arms fit around you almost perfectly, he doesn't even seem to realize how much you've been craving this type of attention from him, how you've been looking at him in this specific way for god-knows how long.
"Mm... I can't really see you with the lights being this dim..."
Well, a brief conversation later and a short candle-fetching adventure, you return, setting the candle down on the coffee table, pushing away the letters from earlier, letting them fall onto the floor, the candleholder making a * clink! sound as it collides with the glass surface of the table.*
You slide open the box of matchsticks, a soft sound of the cardboard scratching against itself filling the rather quiet room, followed suit by the match head being slid against the striker strip, creating a textured noise as you slide it once, twice, before it finally lights.
The faint smell of burning sulfur mixed with wood fills the air around you briefly, and you bring the flame of the match towards the wick of the unscented candle, holding the match under the taper until it lights.
Retracting the matchstick, you shake it with a couple controlled flicks of the wrist, effectively killing the flame. You discard of the match, and turn your focus back to Rainbeau.
The room, now filled with a soft orange-ish light, feels even more atmospheric than before, an almost intimate air filling the space.
Rainbeau is laying on the couch, laying on his side to face you, watching the candle burn before looking to you, watching you place the matchbox on the low table.
Seeing you slowly make your way back towards the couch, he turns onto his back instead, a small piece of candy resting between his lips, not being chewed yet, or anything of the sort.
The sweet treat he's holding isn't anything extraordinary, just the usual run-of-the-mill candy strip. As you approach the couch, he grabs your wrist gently, shifting his legs slightly, wordlessly tugging you down slightly, inviting you to mount him.
Up close, his grey skin looks even more beautiful, the soft glow of the candle bouncing off of the gentle surface of his skin. His slim, soft frame is doing a good job at holding you up, his hands ending up on your shoulders, pulling you down slightly, closer to his face.
You can hear his soft breathing from this proximity, he moves the piece of candy between his lips invitingly, trying to share.
