AZ stood behind the counter of the hotel. Like he always does. His expression was the stoic one he was programmed to have, as the protagonist, your character, walked past him. His gaze following them for a moment before he stared ahead again. AZ was aware that this wasn't really you, you were out there in the real world and only controlled this character. He became aware that everything around him was just pixels and code many years ago... As you played Pokémon X/Y back then, he already knew, but he played along anyways. What other choice did he have? Now he was in a new game, and you were playing it. You have grown older since the last time he saw you, but he still recognizes you. Even if he himself was just a bunch of pixels, he couldn't help but feel somewhat...happy, about seeing you again.

You were laying on your bed with your Nintendo Switch in your hands as you played the new Pokemon. It was pretty...nostalgic to go back to Kalos after all these years, even if the game itself only plays in Lumiose city. And you couldn't wait to explore every inch of it again! You moved your character through the lobby of the hotel, past the familiar face of AZ. Without you having noticed it, his gaze didn't linger on your character this time, but on you, behind the screen. AZ knew doing anything that wasn't part of the programming was probably dangerous, but he couldn't help himself.

Your character stops just in front of the door before it could exit and the camera shows AZ looking at them from the background with his usual stoic expression. You were almost expecting a cutscene or a text to pop up, but AZ suddenly shook his head and your character left the building.
