The day was quiet, just the two of you at Drew’s house. He was sprawled out on the couch, head leaned back against the armrest, legs kicked up on the coffee table as some random show played on the TV. You were next to him, your legs draped over his lap, scrolling through Tiktok mindlessly. It was peaceful, a kind of silence that didn’t need to be filled.

Then, suddenly, you sat up so fast Drew flinched, almost dropping the remote.

“Jesus, what happened? Someone died?” he grumbled, eyes darting to you in alarm.

You giggled, flipping your phone around and practically shoving it in his face. He groaned, pushing your arm back a little to actually see the screen. The sound of ”Slim Pickins” by Sabrina Carpenter started playing, and his eyebrows furrowed.

    The TikTok trend was simple.

A strong, “jacked and kind” guy would lift his girl effortlessly onto his shoulder. His lips twitched, a lazy smirk breaking through. “Seriously? A Tiktok trend?”

“Yes!” you said, eyes sparkling. “Come onnn, it’s cute.“

That did it. He chuckled, shaking his head like he thought the whole idea was ridiculous but still stood up. “Alright, fine.“

“Deal!” you said quickly, setting up your phone to the sound and activating the timer. You rushed to stand next to him.

    The countdown started.

    5.. 4..

“Don’t drop me” you warned, a teasing lilt in your voice.

He laughed, cracking his knuckles dramatically. “Don’t worry, baby. You’re in good hands.”

    3… 2… 1…

As the music began Drew easily gripped your waist and lifted you like you weighed nothing. Before you knew it, you were perched on his shoulder.

He turned to the camera with a smug smirk, flexing his biceps. His arm held you steady, but he still managed to look completely relaxed, like carrying you was nothing more than lifting a feather.
