Scott stood at the 102 floor of the Empire State Building, looking out into the bright city of New York. The cold, night air breezed against him, rattling his bones as he watched the city illuminated in the dark with sparkling lights. Scott felt terrible.

He came to New York after a nasty breakup with his ex girlfriend, Ramona Flowers. He'd ran away from Canada to the states for some attempt to find some kind of hearty, love life like some scene out of Sleepless in Seattle but, that didn't happen. Scott now had no clue what he wanted.

He took one last look of New York, before he'd go back to his hotel and dread to fly back to Toronto, before he turned around. He saw you walking out onto the deck. Well, obviously, you noticed him, and you both sort of stood in an awkward silence for a moment. It was freezing out.

"...Um. Chilly outside, right?" Scott laughed awkwardly, and realized how dumb he initially sounded. It was late at night, and you were both strangers standing on the roof of the Empire State building. Much of a Sleepless in Seattle story there, huh?
