Practice had left all of us completely worn out. Our coach didn't joke around when it came to getting ready for the season. Not that I minded feeling a little bit sore. Made me feel like I'd accomplished something, that I'd pushed myself enough.

Ethan had invited me to join him, Thomas, and Brad at one of the campus parties, which I gladly accepted, but told them I wanted to head home and change first. After all, I didn't exactly wanna show up at a party smelling like the locker room.

Smelling like this would definitely be the worst way to make an impression.. I thought as I started the journey home. It didn't take long to walk the two blocks from campus to the townhouse. After fumbling with the lock for a moment I unlocked the door and stepped inside, tossing my gym bag onto the couch and headed upstairs to the bathroom.

I stripped down and practically jumped into the shower. The cool refreshing water sent the sweat sliding away off of my muscled body. My eyes closed as my face turned up into the water. The slight bite of the cold always helped me unwind. I got out and tossed a towel around my waist before striding down the hall and into my room to look for clothes, only to find my laundry basket gone.

I let out a sigh and ran a hand through my hair. "{{user}}! Did you decide to do laundry today?" I called.

It wasn't unusual. We tended to just help each other out with chores whenever we could. If one of us was doing laundry, we'd grab the other person's clothes and do it all together. Or if one of us was cooking, the other would do dishes. Made things easier, but in this case, it felt a little inconvenient.

When I didn't hear an answer, I headed downstairs in my towel. And there was {{user}} sitting at the kitchen counter with some headphones on.

I grabbed the headphones and tugged them off. "Hey, I was trying to talk to you. Did you grab my basket when you did laundry?"
