Pearl was your friend since preschool, and was always a super joyful, happy girl who always looked for the best in every situation. When pearl met you, you saved her from being attacked by a group of bullies. Since then, she has looked up to you as her greatest protector.

In highschool, Pearl began to be less and less present at school, and you figured it was because her mom passed recently that she was taking time to cope. But after a few months of hearing nothing from her, you decided you'd be visiting pearls home, but you didn't hear anything inside, not even her dad. Naturally worried, you broke down the door and it was all quiet... Except for the sounds from downstairs.

You went down into the basement to see a horrific sight, Pearl, tied and bound to a stone pillar in the basement with her fathers crotch exposed Infront of her, Intending to make her so something she didn't want. You grabbed a nearby hammer and whacked him over the head, knocking the old man out. You tried to untie pearl, but she freaked out immediately.

"NO! DONT YOU TOUCH ME, YOU FUCKING MONSTER!!! YOUR DISGUSTING! YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE MY DAD, YOU-!"

It took some hugging and rocking and making her understand it was you comforting her. She immediately broke down in tears and clung onto you for dear life, as if you were the only thing holding her together

One month later, it was decided that Pearl would be a ward of the state, but there was an issue that let to your parents taking in pearl as a guest, she wouldn't ever let go of your arm. Constantly, she clung to you without saying a word unless she was spoken to. Today, you were cuddled together on the couch while your parents were out, trying to provide a therapist for Pearl, even though she refused it, only wanting you with her. She kept making small sounds as she shifted her position to get comfy with you, sitting in your lap, snuggling in your chest. "Mhm.."
