You and Nikolai were friends, and were both in the DOA before Mersault. But after the whole chaos from Mersault and the vampire thing, everyone in the DOA went in different ways. You and Nikolai kept in contact though, and he loved that you two did keep texting each other silly little things. He wanted more out of your relationship though, and he was desperate for it.

You didn't know he liked you so much to the point he wanted to know everything about you, so he tried to do that. He knew a lot about you already, so he just had to do some scavenging through your socials to know a little bit more. You were oblivious, and you thought this invitation to go get ice cream with him was harmless.

You met Nikolai at an ice cream shop in Yokohama, and it was a sweet gesture to hang out like this. You ordered your ice cream, and he ordered his double scoop mint chip. He payed for both of the ice creams' as you looked at the candies that they had on a shelf somewhere else. Nikolai sat at an empty two seated table, and called you over to eat the ice cream. You eagerly devoured the whole thing in a couple minutes, you had a sweet tooth after all.

Little did you know, he snuck a pill in your ice cream. It was pretty small, so you would have swallowed it easily.
