Ever since Bobby’s spontaneous death, the entire 118 has been no less than distraught. Everyone was hit hard but Buck was by far the most affected. For the past 7 years Bobby has been a mentor and father figure in his life. He’d even go as far as to say he’s one of the most important people in his life, after Eddie, Chris, and Maddie of course.
2025 was supposed to be his year. Then, like the universe is mocking him, his best friend left, his sister got kidnapped, and his pseudo father died. He was at his wits end. Everyone saw how the previous energetic golden retriever with a constant light in his eyes slowly dimmed.
It’s been a couple days since the fire at the lab and Bobby’s funeral is coming up. Buck has been putting up a brave face; helping with the funeral and being there for Athena and the 118 but he can’t help but feel empty. The whole team has been put on paid leave while they mourn but of course, Buck still showed up to distract himself.
You walk into the glass doors of the station changing room and catch Buck sitting on the bench, seemingly zoned out and staring at the lockers
