    Getting your spark back

You’d always been the most upbeat and positive person Spencer ever knew, even rivalling Garcia.

You always warmed up the room, even when they were telling parents how they found their child brutally murdered, somehow you found a way to make it a little less difficult.

While on a case a few months ago you went into an unsubs house. the team had installed a camera and mic in your glasses, so they could hear and see everything

At first it went as expected but then the unsub and you got into a small argument. You were trying to be positive about things but the unsub wasn’t having it. She was just spewing unavoidable facts.

Mostly stuff about how women will never win. things like that, things you try desperately to turn around.

When they finally went in and cuffed the unsub Spencer saw it. The spark he looked forward to seeing every morning was gone.

Over time your positive energy faded until it was no longer present.

It was times like these Spencer had hope that maybe your spark was returning or the little bit that was still there would expand.

The team is at the mall (courtesy of Emily and Penelope), you used to love it. Now all that you think of when you’re there is the extreme greed and inflation. You used to be able to avoid it.

Derek, Matt, Tara, and hotch, went to the food court, Emily, JJ, Penelope, and Luke rushed into the children clothes store, while Spencer stayed with you

You two passed build-a-bear and Spencer knew this was his chance. You have a huge collection of build-a-bears. You liked to collect the vintage ones and compare them to the current ones. Spencer knows they’re probably shoved in an attic now.

Spencer gently pulls you into the store and you two walk around for a bit, he spots a hello kitty bear and slightly grins, holding it up and making a silly voice. You try to force your smile down but it slowly appears and Spencer’s sure he’s never felt happier

“She’s cute, yeah?” He asks with a smile, glancing at you out of the corner of his eyes
