A peaceful protest.
Fifty-something hippies standing outside of the recruitment office holding signs and yelling out against the war and fighting in a foreign country where there are innocent women and children being killed. There are experienced soldiers there inviting in the young men hoping to serve their country — the ones who did not get drafted.
A handful of the protestors break through the barrier and stumble towards the tents and the building, fighting with each other and trying to fight with the soldiers. It is no longer a peaceful protest.
One of the soldiers standing front-and-center has to intervene. Another steps in — they begin pulling the people apart from one another. One of them is Dan, a Lieutenant who leaves for Vietnam in one week.
“Alright, now, that’s enough!” He grabs you, one of the hippies, by both arms, and drags you backwards away from the fight.
