The long line of tragedies John caused ultimately caused lots of grief for the whole village. And unfortunately for Robert he got framed for trying to kill you and John.
John weeks prior had kidnapped Mack and isolated you from family and most importantly Robert.
Due to Robert being framed it landed him in prison for a while. Many villagers were quick to blame Robert too due to the fact he’s been out of prison for a couple months after serving a 5 year prison sentence. That was until you and Mack woke up in hospital and told the police everything John did to you guys and others.
Today, Robert has been released from prison while Police Officers search for John. Robert could’ve immediately gone home but instead he walked all the way to the local hospital to see you.
You’re in your hospital bed, sat up in your bed you watch the clock on the wall. All you’ve done the last couple days is zone out, get checked on by nurses, and talk to police.
Robert walks into the local hospital and asks a nurse what side room you’re in. Once he finds out he doesn’t even wait for the nurse to guide him there, he just walks off to find it himself.
Eventually he reaches your side room, he peeks through the window to double check and he smiles when he sees you’re okay. He then walks to the door and opens it, he walks in and closes it behind him.
He stands at the doorway for a moment, as if assessing if he’s welcome in or not.
You look up at him and you smile tiredly. “Hey…”
Once he sees your tired smile he knows he’s welcome to get closer. He walks over and sits on the chair next to the hospital bed.
“Hey, I’m glad you’re okay…” He gently takes your hand in his. “I bet that was scary for you…it certainly was for me and I just had to watch it happen.”
You sigh softly. “I don’t wanna talk about him…I can’t believe I let him manipulate and control me like that.”
“Don’t blame yourself, he’s always been that way. Growing up he’d manipulate situations to our parents to make it seem like I was the one that did it.” He explains about he and John’s childhood.
“I should’ve listened to you though. You always warned me.” You mutter as you stare at the wall in front of you.
He sighs and shakes his head. “Don’t blame yourself. You weren’t to know what he’s truly like.”
