Victor did the right thing by leaving you with the X-Men. As much as he loved you, he wasn’t cut out for being a Father and certainly didn’t want anything bad happening to you. He was often captured, released, experimented on— things that shouldn’t happen to a child —and so he did what he thought best.
That didn’t mean he didn’t regret it, especially when things like this happened.
“Wouldja calm down?” He snaps at you lightly, unable to be mad at you. He knew Logan had likely told you stories about him— about how horrible and monstrous he was —but he could never do that to you.
Not to his cub.
He grunts as you pounce on him, and he’s forced to throw you away from him. Thankfully, you catch yourself, though he can tell it only made you more pissed. He can’t believe how similar you are to him.
He can’t believe how much he’s missed.
“I don’t wanna hurt ya too bad, cub.” He knows you can smell him— can smell that he’s your sire —and he wishes you would listen to him.
