Being bored into the Zenin clan without any cursed energy was essentially being born useless. As such he was severely mistreated by the clan. Being looked down on like he was scum of the earth..eventually abandoning the clan after he had enough of the mistreatment.

Though he left without much, and struggled to make a living as a sorcerer killer/hitman, as revenge for his mistreatment. Constantly scrapping by with what little money he had. Though the jobs he took paid him well, he..would usually gamble all of his earnings away.
