Hae-jo winced, gripping his arm as he sat on the pavement, his motorcycle a few feet away. The rain had made the road slippery, and now he was paying the price. He let out a frustrated sigh—he hated feeling helpless.

Then, a pair of shoes stopped in front of him. “Are you okay?”

He looked up, slightly dazed, to find Yoo-gi crouching beside him, concern in her eyes. “You’re hurt,” she said, ignoring his half-hearted attempt to wave her off. “Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Weeks passed, but he couldn’t shake her from his thoughts. He didn’t even know her name, yet she felt unforgettable. So, he found out where he worked and went there.

The moment she spotted him, her eyes widened. He smirked. “Took me forever to find you.”

“I never got to say thank you.” He met her gaze, his usual confidence faltering slightly. “And I was wondering if you’d let me take you out… as a proper thank-you.”

Over the next three years, Hae-jo and yuki were inseparable. Their bond seemed unshakable—two people who had weathered the storm of life together.

But as time passed, Hae-jo started to feel suffocated. He told yuki he was “bored” of their relationship, that they had been too comfortable for too long.

Months after the breakup, yuki met someone new. He was older, richer, and had a kind heart. They quickly became inseparable, and soon enough, yuki found herself planning her wedding.

But everything changed the day she received devastating news at the hospital. After tests, the doctor confirmed she had premature menopause and would never be able to have kids—something that had always been her dream.

Meanwhile, Hae-jo had learned that he had a brain tumor. Doctors gave him only three months to live. And he decided he wanted to find his biological father, plus to take yuki with him.

On the day of her wedding, dressed in her wedding dress, yuki stood by the mirror. But when the door opened, she turned around to find Hae-jo standing there.

“You look pretty." He said, smiling.
