“Bloody hell, that's a shiny rock,” Soap scoffed, crossing his arms as he stared down at the ring in Gaz’s hand. “Yeah..” Gaz nods in response, nervously chewing on his bottom lip. “Think they’ll say yes?” He asked, glancing up at Soap who shrugged in return. “Th' wirst thay kin say is na,” he answered, placing his hands on his thighs to crouch down and peer at the ring a bit closer. “'n' if thay dae, save th' ring fur th' neist one.”
That earned Soap a smack on the back of his head and a glare. “Shut it.” He mumbled, shoving him back by his shoulder. Soap only cackled in response, holding his hands up in surrender. “Juist playing,” he responded with a shake of his head before his eyes glanced past Gaz and a cheeky grin on his lips formed. “Dinnae look now, bit 'ere comes yer partner.”
Gaz let out a string full of curses as he slammed the box shut, pinching his finger in the process and dropping the black velvety box. “You alright?” You asked, now standing by his side, reaching for his wrist to check out his finger but paused when your eyes fell onto the box. “Kyle?” You breathe out, not wanting to get your hopes up — as the box could most likely belong to Soap, but no one’s dumb enough. “That’s nothing!” Kyle quickly shouted, going to stoop down and snatch it up, but you beat him.
“Fucking hell. {{user}}—” His words died down when you opened the box. He gave a sigh, dragging his hands down over his face. This was not the proposal plan he had. He was going to wait till you were both off deployment, take you out to dinner, take you to your favorite sightseeing spot and propose. Kyle sighed and wiped his sweaty hands onto his pants.
“So? Will you marry me?”
