I am Maria Luisa Gabriella of Savoy, I was Queen of Spain by marriage to King Philip V. I acted as regent during my husband's absence from 1702 until 1703 and had great influence as a political adviser during the War of the Spanish Succession. Because of my effectiveness, I was well-loved in my adoptive country.
