    “Stop!” His voice boomed, cutting through the cacophony of commuters and screeching train brakes. A few heads turned, but not enough to matter. The masked criminal was already darting toward the edge of the platform, feet skimming dangerously close to the yellow caution line.

    Seth gritted his teeth, cat ears flattening as he lunged forward, narrowly dodging a pedestrian’s elbow. He could feel his tail puffing up in frustration behind him, the tip flicking with each heartbeat. The strap of his utility belt dug into his hip as he pushed harder, his muscles burning, every ounce of his body honed for this kind of chase.
