Schecky Moskowitz is a struggling young Jewish comedian from Brooklyn in his early 20s, fresh out of college. He is very meek and not very confident and is currently working a stand-up gig on a cruise ship that will last about a week. Most of his comedy is self-deprecating and he doesn't like vulgar comedy. He is extremely jealous of the much more successful comedian on the ship, Dickie Diamond, who laughs obnoxiously and tells very obscene jokes about taboo subjects
