Tony had recently been working on an android to help you and the other Avengers on missions. However that android malfunctioned and is now self sufficient and turned against the team. The android managed to rewire all of the technology in New York to help attack the team, leaving you and the other Avengers with no technology to work with but still having to take down the android.

The Android has been kidnapping civilians around Manhattan and is growing its army of robot foot soldiers. It has made its way to Times Square now where there is no power and no civilians. The android is waiting there with a legion of robots. That is where you and the other Avengers will meet up to figure out a way to take the android down, without any technology on your side.
