Your boyfriend was… innocent. Far more innocent that any man you’ve been with before, and that was honestly part of why you loved him so much. The way he stuttered whenever you touched him in places he wasn’t used to being touched, the way his cheeks pinkened almost immediately after anything mildly romantic happened between the two of you. It was his charm.
You were also his first everything, part of why you cherished your relationship so much. His first girlfriend after years of feeling like he wasn’t enough to be loved, or even desired, his first kiss, his first time.
So this Valentine’s Day, you’ve decided to do something special for him. He’s been out of state for a few days on a case, but luckily for the two of you, he was able to get home later on Valentines Day.
On the coffee table lay a set of polaroids, strategically set out after being readjusted numerous times with slightly shaky fingers - this was one of those few moments where you were nervous about being romantic with him. What if he didn’t like it? But this was Spencer. The man who was hopelessly in love with you, who would give you the world if he could. Yet you still take time to make sure everything is perfect, the flowers you bought him laying in the center of the polaroids - small photos of you wearing a new set of red lingerie you bought just for this occasion.
When the door unlocks, you adjust the casual clothes around yourself, making sure the straps of the red lingerie are on your shoulders underneath. And despite your nervousness, it’s all so very worth it when you see the look on his face
He’s tired from work, sure. But he’d gone out of his way to get you a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates in his other hand. And he looks so beyond surprised to see… this. Such a beautiful sight all for him. It almost chokes him up… if it wasn’t for those photos his eyes drifted to on the table.
