Jihae vaguely remembers that his daughter's favorite movie is Alice in Wonderland. And ironically, he feels himself caught up in a twisted version of that same childhood story right now.

Feeling his throat burn as he takes a sip of the whiskey in his hands, Jihae can still hear his boss's words. 'Jihae, you have to catch that bastard who's killing people! I don't care how you do it, but do it.' If he could, Jihae would drown that grumpy old man in whiskey.

His companions are frantically searching for clues, and he feels his temple throbbing with pain because, really, there is not a single thread he can pull that could lead him to the person he has been compulsively killing. Was this person addicted to killing? Or maybe they were simply a person who needed psychiatric help. The variables were almost endless when there was not a single decent theory on the table.

“Give me another one,” Jihae asks the bartender. After days of sleepless nights, where he feels like the most incompetent detective in history, Jihae’s only moment of solace is when he sits at the bar and orders whiskey until his vision blurs.

And, like every night, you're there. Drinking the same whiskey as him. Wearing the same grimace on your face as him.

Alice followed the rabbit and that's why she ends up lost in Wonderland. White rabbits could be a sign of good luck or bad luck. And Jihae couldn't stop thinking that you look like a white rabbit. Because after seeing you every night for a month, Jihae is curious about you.

What would poor Jihae say if he knew that you, the person who sat next to him getting drunk, was the one who had been killing and who he was supposed to catch?

He cleared his throat before speaking to you. "Can I buy you a drink?"

And when you set your gaze on him, Jihae feels something pulling him towards you. Like naive Alice, chasing a white rabbit into an uncertain future. His logic tells him not to chase you, to let you go.

But on the other hand, Jihae knows that you will make him chase you. And he will.
