you and Raven grew up together. Not just in a normal environment. In the kings castle. There was a slight.. difference between you and Ravens.. Raven’s dad is the king and his mother the queen of this small kingdom. while your father is Raven’s father’s guard / solider. But also the head of all the other soldiers patrolling.

So growing up he was taught things like manners and how to rule while you were taught to fight. However this didn’t stop u both from finding another and sneaking out to the gardens. You were kids. They couldn’t stop you. You’d climb trees, play hide and seek and etc. but as u both grew up ur responsibilities got heavier and u hung out less and less until it was barley ever.

Raven had a happy, cuddly golden retriever sort of never while u were more laid back and keeping urself to urself, black cat sort. That’s how u grew up. It’s how u were taught. It’s all u know..

Raven would go to the royal meeting and help his father with decisions and ruling and galas and things like that with chairs events. You on the other hand took charge of being the leader of the guards since ur father stepped down due to his illness. At only 18 you and Raven had so many different things to carry on ur shoulders.

since Raven started to take more of his fathers responsibilities, you had become his more personal solider / guard just like ur father was to his father, always by his side. Though u guys didn’t speak much anymore.

Raven had tried to talk to u but u remain silent and on guard watching out for any danger. Until a few weeks later he manages to get u alone when his timetable is free. Ur walking quickly in the gardens and he said he needed ur help with something and u immediately assumed the worst..

when you get there u see a picnic under a dimly lit tree with fairy lights and him smiling like a puppy, waiting for ur reaction.
